about the merchandise

are the colors in the photos true?

I've done my best to faithfully capture colors. But, as every computer monitor is calibrated a bit differently, colors may appear slightly different on yours than mine. If you have concerns about color, please email me.

are additional photos & information available?

You bet. Just let me know what you'd like & I'll be glad to supply you with it.

I'm still working on getting photos for everything online. But if there's something you'd like to see, just ask.

Also, the photos presented here are low-resolution so they'll load quickly on your computer. If you need a higher resolution photo, just ask.

are swatches available?

Yes! Swatches are available for most of the trims. Please email me if you're interested; I'll happily send you the samples by first class mail (free).

buying trim by the yard

For trim sold by the yard, you can purchase any number of yards, up to the stated amount available. You can state the number of yards you want after you add the trim to your shopping cart.

how much of each trim is available?

I have at least several yards of all these trims (except as noted); for some I have dozens of yards. If you need a large quantity let me know & I'll see what I can do. I'm working on getting available quantities listed next to each trim's description.

what about condition?

All merchandise is in good or better condition; please see each descripton for details.

I've done my best to describe each item fully; any defects will be noted. Do keep in mind that this is vintage merchandise & some imperfections are to be expected.

All fabrics & trims are clean and unblemished, unless noted otherwise.

Books are described according to generally accepted book condition terms.

new merchandise, buying & selling

where does this cool stuff come from?

I spend a lot of time on the road, roaming through estate sales, thrifts, and sometimes antique shops. I also buy a bit online (see below.) Some of the items offered here were pulled from my personal collection of vintage gear, which has been accumulated over a period of many years.

will you buy my vintage items?

Maybe! I'd love to hear what you have to offer. Please inquire, if you have something you think would be up our alley.

We're especially interested in purchasing vintage ribbons & trims from the 1970s or earlier. Especially interested in longer lengths and those still on the original spool or bolt, but others are OK too.

We're also interested in mod & psychedelic 1960s jewelry, the Beat Generation / beatniks, and some music memorabilia.

If you have something to sell, please drop me an email with a description of your items, and a photo or two if possible. (And, of course, your asking price.) I will get right back to you.

what about want lists?

Sure. If you're looking for a particular item, just let me know so I can keep an eye out for it.

new additions & the newsletter

I'll add new items to the site on a regular basis. If you'd like to receive my occasional newsletter which announces new merchandise, please drop me a line & let me know.

location, location, location

where is Psychedelicat located?

Psychedelicat is based in my home office, north of Seattle. I don't have a brick-and-mortar shop or have visitors in; this allows me to keep my costs - and the prices you pay - low.
